Space for Grace

Current mood as the rain pours down here in our little White City of Ostuni....

Celestino spent most of the day on his new bed, which he’s finally embracing after a summer of too much heat laying on the terracotta tiles.

I’ve been embracing life with more energy.

Doing some restyling at home (and with my hair!).

Today we went shopping and got these adorable feather bedside lamps, brought a smile to my face.

One for each side.

Sleeping alone is kind of new, it’s having me well-rested, sometimes missing a man but still in appreciation for the wisdom (and strength) to let go.

You could call it a “second grief” but this one comes with some relief.

I know I’m in a learning curve, seeing I am capable alone.

My mornings are spent the usual way, I wake up, not too early and come downstairs to hug my dog.

Espresso pot goes on as does the tv for some jazz music, although in recent weeks it’s been home decor shows, which have given me a lot of joy and inspiration for my own home.

I will then do my meditation, get showered, dress well and walk Celestino, stopping for a second coffee somewhere.

He usually leads me to whichever bar he knows the treats are at.

This morning we went shopping on the high street, in between downpours.

We ended up at Bar Kennedy, I got cannoli and he got to hoover up the croissant flakes that were left on the floor.

Most Italians eat their breakfast whilst standing at the bar dropping pieces of crumbly crossiant, much to my dog’s delight!

Following that we came home and I began to take calls.

Reconnecting with a wonderful client from years ago, she was keen on joining my Mastermind and so we spoke about that.

I was appreciative of how effortless the “selling” felt.

It was more like two friends catching up and one knowing that she really wanted to join what was on offer.

Then I had some client calls.

It’s always interesting how people are usually exploring the same theme all at once.

Today’s theme: Why am I not doing what I say I want to do?

After exploring what’s behind that and how to move forward, it was time to close the computer and take a much needed walk.

We stopped by our luxury hotel for an aperitivo.

My favourite Italian ritual!

It was warm and cosy in the hotel and Celestino got his water and hugs from staff.

I got my favourite drink.

Coming back home I thought about writing an update on my life, hoping it inspires whoever reads this, then lighting some candles, making dinner and snuggling up to a Netflix show.

And that’s how my typical day goes.

“Space for Grace” is my personal theme of late, which is new and exciting and sometimes unnerving!

Maybe we all need a little “space for grace” in our lives, a way to give ourselves more time, more compassion, more forgiveness and to see we’re all in some form of learning curve so let’s be gentle as we go. ♥️
